红柱石细粉添加量对刚玉-莫来石材料性能的影响

Influence of andalusite fine powder addition on properties of corundum-mullite materials

摘要: 以均质矾土熟料、红柱石细粉、广西白泥为原料,在1 400 ℃保温4 h制备刚玉-莫来石材料,研究了红柱石细粉添加量(质量分数分别为0、5%、10%、15%)对材料的致密度、强度、荷重软化温度、抗热震性、抗高温蠕变性等性能的影响。结果表明:1)随着红柱石细粉添加量的增大,试样的体积密度逐渐减小,抗热震性和抗高温蠕变性逐渐增强,荷重软化温度逐渐升高,常温耐压强度基本不变。红柱石添加量为15%(w)时,试样的综合性能最好。2)经1 400 ℃保温4 h烧成后,红柱石细粉颗粒表层已经完全莫来石化,由表及里其莫来石化程度逐渐降低。这使其在后续高温加热过程中可以继续莫来石化,从而继续对材料的抗热震性、抗高温蠕变性、抗荷重软化性提供积极作用。

Abstract: Corundum-mullite materials were prepared with homogeneous bauxite chamotte,andalusite fine powder,Guangxi white clay as raw materials firing at 1 400 ℃ for 4 h.The effect of the andalusite fine powder addition (0,5%,10%,and 15%,by mass) on their properties such as the density,the strength,the refractoriness under load,the thermal shock resistance,the hot creep resistance was studied.The results show that:(1)with the increase of the andalusite fine powder addition,the bulk density of the samples gradually decreases,the thermal shock resistance and the hot creep resistance gradually enhance,the refractoriness under load gradually rises,and the cold crushing strength basically remains unchanged;the sample added with 15% of andalusite has the best comprehensive performance;(2)after firing at 1 400 ℃ for 4 h,the surface layer of andalusite fine powder particles shows complete mullitization,and the mullitization degree gradually decreases from the surface to the inside,which enables further mullitization during subsequent high-temperature heating,thus playing a positive role to the thermal shock resistance,the hot creep resistance and the refractoriness under load of the materials.
