莫来石晶须原位增强堇青石-莫来石多孔陶瓷制备

Preparation of mullite whisker in-situ reinforced cordierite-mullite porous ceramics

摘要: 为实现煤矸石资源化利用,以高岭土粉、煤矸石粉、滑石粉、氢氧化铝粉为主要原料,制备了莫来石晶须原位增强堇青石-莫来石多孔陶瓷。研究了煤矸石掺量(质量分数分别为0、9%、17%、26%、33%)和AlF3添加量(质量分数分别为0、1.5%、2.0%、2.5%、3.0%)对多孔陶瓷物相组成、显微结构和性能的影响。结果表明:1)当煤矸石掺量(w)≤17%、AlF3添加量(w)≤2.5%时,试样主要矿物组成为堇青石和莫来石。2)增加煤矸石掺量可明显提高试样的体积密度和耐压强度,但对保持显气孔率不利;增加AlF3添加量导致试样体积密度和耐压强度减小,但可提高显气孔率。3)随着煤矸石掺量和AlF3添加量的增加,莫来石晶须直径增加,长径比增加,呈四方柱状或针状。4)当煤矸石掺量(w)为17%,AlF3添加量(w)为2.5%时,经1 350 ℃保温2 h,可获得体积密度1.86 g·cm-3,显气孔率31.0%,耐压强度27.8 MPa的多孔陶瓷;其针状莫来石晶须形成互锁结构,平均直径0.5 μm,长径比>20。

Abstract: To realize the resource utilization of coal gangue,mullite whisker in-situ reinforced cordierite-mullite porous ceramics were synthesized using kaolin powder,coal gangue powder,talc powder,and aluminum hydroxide powder as main raw materials.Effects of the coal gangue addition (0,9%,17%,26% and 33%,by mass) and the AlF3 addition (0,1.5%,2.0%,2.5% and 3.0%,by mass) on the phase composition,the microstructure and the properties of the porous ceramics were studied.The results show that (1)the main mineral compositions of the samples are cordierite and mullite with the coal gangue addition ≤17% and the AlF3 addition ≤2.5%;(2)raising the coal gangue addition obviously increases the bulk density and the cold compressive strength,but it is unfavorable to maintain the apparent porosity;raising the AlF3 addition reduces the bulk density and the cold compressive strength,but increases the apparent porosity;(3)with the increase of the coal gangue and the AlF3 additions,mullite whiskers have increased diameter and length to diameter ratio,showing square column-like or needle-like shapes;(4)added with 17% coal gangue and 2.5% AlF3,the porous ceramic fired at 1 350 ℃ for 2 h has the bulk density of 1.86 g·cm-3,the apparent porosity of 31.0% and the cold compressive strength of 27.8 MPa;the needle-like mullite whiskers in the porous ceramic form an interlocking structure and they have an average diameter of 0.5 μm and the length to diameter ratio >20.
