La(OH)3对MgO结合刚玉质浇注料性能的影响

Effect of La(OH)3 on properties of MgO-bonded corundum castables

摘要: 为解决MgO结合刚玉质浇注料抗热震性较差的问题,以板状刚玉、活性氧化铝微粉为原料,活性MgO粉为结合剂,以La(OH)3为前驱体,制备了MgO结合刚玉质浇注料,经室温养护24 h后,在110 ℃下烘干24 h后再于1 600 ℃保温3 h热处理。研究了La(OH)3加入量(加入质量分数分别为0、1.12%、2.24%、4.48%、8.96%)对刚玉质浇注料性能的影响。结果表明:1)浇注料经110 ℃干燥后的常温耐压强度随La(OH)3加入量的增加先增加后降低,而显气孔率呈增加趋势。2)经1 600 ℃热处理后浇注料的常温耐压强度随La(OH)3加入量的增加而降低,加热永久线变化逐渐增大,浇注料的抗热震性呈先增强后减弱的趋势。3)当La(OH)3加入质量分数为2.24%时,浇注料综合性能最佳,尤其是1 600 ℃保温3 h热处理后抗折强度保持率最大,达到98.8%,这是因为引入的La(OH)3会与浇注料中的Al2O3、MgO原位反应生成片状LaMgAl11O19,适量的片状相可有效偏转热震产生的裂纹,提高抗热震性。

Abstract: To address the poor thermal shock resistance of MgO-bonded corundum castables,MgO-bonded corundum castable samples were fabricated using tabular corundum and reactive alumina micropowder as raw materials,reactive MgO powder as the binder,and La(OH)3 as the precursor.The prepared samples were cured at room temperature for 24 h,dried at 110 ℃ for 24 h,and finally heat-treated at 1 600 ℃ for 3 h.The effects of La(OH)3 additions (mass fractions of 0,1.12%,2.24%,4.48%,and 8.96%) on the properties of the corundum castables were investigated.The results show that:(1)after drying at 110 ℃,the cold compressive strength of the castables first increases and then decreases with the rising La(OH)3 addition,while the apparent porosity shows a continuous increasing trend;(2)after the heat treatment at 1 600 ℃,the cold compressive strength of the castables decreases gradually with the increasing La(OH)3 addition,the permanent linear change on heating increases steadily,and the thermal shock resistance of the castables is enhanced first and then weakened;(3)the castables achieve the optimal comprehensive performance at the La(OH)3 addition of 2.24%.Specifically,the MOR retention ratio reaches the maximum of 98.8% after the heat treatment at 1 600 ℃ for 3 h.This is attributed to the in-situ reaction between the introduced La(OH)3 and Al2O3/MgO in the castables,which generates lamellar LaMgAl11O19.An appropriate amount of such lamellar phases can effectively deflect cracks induced by thermal shock and thereby improve the thermal shock resistance of the castables.
