Sc2O3加入量对菱镁矿制备镁砂性能的影响

Effect of Sc2O3 on properties of magnesia prepared from magnesite

摘要: 为改善烧结镁砂性能,以菱镁矿经900 ℃煅烧后的轻烧氧化镁粉为主要原料,引入Sc2O3作为添加剂,经1 600 ℃煅烧3 h得到烧结镁砂试样。研究Sc2O3添加量(质量分数分别为0、1%、2%、3%和4%)对试样致密度、物相组成及显微结构的影响。结果表明:Sc2O3会固溶进入MgO晶粒并引起MgO晶格畸变,起到了活化晶格促进烧结的作用;同时Sc2O3会与镁砂中杂质成分CaO发生反应,在方镁石晶间生成高熔点的CaSc2O4相。因此,添加Sc2O3提高了试样致密度,当加入3%(w)时,致密性最好。

Abstract: In order to improve the properties of sintered magnesia,the light burned magnesia powder prepared by calcining magnesite at 900 ℃ was used as the main raw material and Sc2O3 was introduced as an additive.Sintered magnesia samples were obtained by calcining them at 1 600 ℃ for 3 h.Effects of the Sc2O3 addition (0,1%,2%,3% and 4%,by mass) on the density,the phase composition and the microstructure of the samples were studied.The results show that Sc2O3 can dissolve into MgO grains and cause lattice distortion of MgO,activating the lattice and promoting the sintering.At the same time,Sc2O3 reacts with the impurity CaO in magnesia to generate high-melting point phase CaSc2O4 among magnesite crystals.Therefore,adding Sc2O3 increases the density of the samples,and with 3% Sc2O3,the densification is the best.
