Effect of calcium dialuminate addition on properties of corundum castables

Abstract: In order to improve the performance of corundum castables,white corundum,calcium dealuminate (CA2),active α-Al2O3 micropowder and pure calcium aluminate cement were used as main raw materials to prepare corundum castables.The effects of the CA2 addition (0,20%,30%,40%,by mass) on the properties of corundum castables were studied.The results show that:(1)with the increase of the CA2 addition,the bulk density of corundum castables decreases significantly,and the cold compressive strength of corundum castables after drying at 110 ℃ and the heat treatment at 800 ℃ is improved obviously,while the cold compressive strength after the heat treatment at 1 200 ℃ changes slightly;(2)with the increase of the CA2 addition,the average thermal expansion coefficient decreases gradually,the thermal conductivity decreases significantly,and the retention rate of the modulus of rupture of the sample after 800 ℃ water-quenching thermal shock is greatly improved;(3) the introduction of CA2 greatly improves the permeability,and does not affect the resistance to hydrogen reduction of corundum castables.

摘要: 为了改善刚玉浇注料的性能,以白刚玉、二铝酸钙(CA2)、活性α-Al2O3微粉和纯铝酸钙水泥为主要原料,制备了刚玉浇注料,研究了CA2加入量(加入质量分数分别为0、20%、30%、40%)对刚玉浇注料性能的影响。结果表明:1)随着CA2的增多,刚玉浇注料的体积密度大幅减小,110 ℃烘干和800 ℃热处理后的常温耐压强度明显改善,而1 200 ℃热处理后的常温耐压强度变化不明显;2)随着CA2的增多,浇注料的平均热膨胀系数逐渐降低,热导率大幅降低,试样经800 ℃水冷热震后的抗折强度保持率大幅提升;3)CA2的引入大幅提升了刚玉浇注料的透气性,且不影响刚玉浇注料的抗氢气还原性能。
