活性氧化铝微粉对刚玉质浇注料性能的影响

Influence of characteristics of reactive alumina micropowder on properties of alumina based castables

摘要: 以板状刚玉、活性氧化铝微粉、铝酸钙水泥为原料制备了刚玉质浇注料。研究了3种市售活性氧化铝微粉对刚玉质浇注料性能的影响。结果表明:1)氧化铝微粉杂质含量、粒度与比表面积的差异会影响CA6的生成量。2)粒度更小、分布更窄的微粉对浇注料的填充效果最佳,因而添加该微粉的试样烧后呈现更致密的显微结构与更优的力学性能。3)刚玉质浇注料的烧后强度也与活性氧化铝的烧结性能相关,添加粒度相近但比表面积更大的活性氧化铝微粉的试样具有更高的抗折强度。

Abstract: Effect of three commercial reactive alumina micropowders on the properties of alumina based castables was researched using tabular alumina,reactive alumina micropowder and calcium aluminate cement as raw materials.The results indicate that:(1)the CA6 formation is influenced by the impurities content,the particle size and the specific surface area of alumina micropowder;(2)smaller alumina powders with narrow particle size distribution present better filling effect in the castables;therefore,samples incorporated with this kind of reactive alumina micropowder present dense microstructure and excellent mechanical properties;(3)the strength of fired castables is also correlated with the sinterability of reactive alumina micropowder;samples added reactive alumina micropowders with similar particle size but larger specific surface area present higher strength.
