莫来石基多孔陶瓷的制备与显微结构优化

Fabrication and microstructural optimization of mullite-based porous ceramics

摘要: 为拓宽高性能多孔陶瓷的设计与开发,以工业氧化铝和广西白泥为原料,α-烯基磺酸钠为发泡剂,改性硅树脂聚醚微乳液(MPS)为稳泡剂,柠檬酸铵为减水剂,采用直接发泡法,经1 500 ℃保温3 h热处理制备莫来石多孔陶瓷。研究MPS的添加量(外加质量分数分别为0.2%、0.3%、0.4%)以及搅拌时间(5、10、15 min)对陶瓷显微结构和性能的影响。结果表明:陶瓷的主晶相为莫来石,次晶相为刚玉;随着MPS添加量的增加,陶瓷的孔径分布更加均匀且中位径降低,常温耐压强度和体积密度增加;随着搅拌时间的延长,气孔率和中位径先降低后增加,常温耐压强度和体积密度先升高后降低;当MPS的添加量为0.3%(w),搅拌时间为10 min时,莫来石基多孔陶瓷性能最佳。

Abstract: To broaden the design and development of high-performance porous ceramics,mullite porous ceramics were prepared by the direct foaming method,using industrial alumina and Guangxi white mud as raw materials,α-sodium olefin sulfonate as the foaming agent,modified polyethoxylated silicone (MPS) microemulsion as the foam stabiliser,and ammonium citrate as the dispersant.The effects of the MPS addition (0.2%,0.3% and 0.4%,by mass) and the stirring time (5,10 and 15 min) on the microstructure and properties of the ceramics were investigated.The results demonstrate that the main crystalline phase of the ceramics is mullite,with corundum as the secondary phase.With the increase in the MPS addition,the pore size distribution of the ceramics becomes more uniform while the median pore diameter decreases,and the cold compressive strength and bulk density increase.With the prolongation of the stirring time,the porosity and median pore diameter of the ceramics decrease first and then increase,while the cold compressive strength and bulk density show an opposite trend.With 0.3% MPS and a stirring time of 10 min,the mullite-based porous ceramics have the optimal performance.
